A doula is someone who walks with you through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I am not your medical provider and I do not make choices for you. I am the steady presence in your corner who helps you feel informed, supported, and cared for.
Support in Action
That support can look many different ways. Sometimes it means explaining your options in a way that feels digestible and empowering. Sometimes it is reminding you of the choices you have already made when the intensity of the moment makes them hard to recall. Sometimes it is offering physical comfort measures like massage, position changes, or breathing support. And often it is turning toward your partner, helping them feel confident, included, and steady instead of lost on the sidelines.
More Than the Physical
One of the most important parts of my role is checking in on how you are doing emotionally. Birth is not only about bringing a baby into the world but also about how you experience it. Your voice, your feelings, your story all matter. I am here to hold space for both the physical process and the emotional journey because both are deeply intertwined.
Why I Am Here
I do not come into your birth space to take over or speak for you. I come to remind you that you do not have to carry the weight of it alone. My presence is about helping you feel grounded, informed, and heard, even if things take an unexpected turn. Birth is unpredictable, but support does not have to be.
I often think back to the children I have cared for and the parents I have stood beside over the years. In many ways this work is a continuation of that same commitment: to nurture, to steady, and to remind families that they are not alone. Becoming a doula felt like a natural extension of the heart I have always carried into caregiving.
In Your Corner
So when I say I walk beside you, I mean it. Whether it is holding your hand in labor, encouraging your partner’s presence, helping you find your breath, or simply sitting quietly while you find your way through a hard moment. You deserve someone who will stand in your corner without agenda, someone who sees your strength and helps you feel it for yourself.
Because you do not have to do this alone. And you were never meant to.
Let’s Connect
If this kind of support feels like what you are seeking, I would love to connect with you. Reach out to me, and together we can talk about your hopes, your questions, and the kind of care that will help you feel grounded and supported in your journey.
